Guidelines for posting comments:

Comments posted to Behind the Sofa will be moderated once they have been posted. If your comment is deemed to be inappropriate your comment will be removed without warning. If you persist on breaking our guidelines your IP address will be banned.  Comments that will be deemed inappropriate include personal abuse, off-topic comments and generalized attacks on the blog itself.

While your comments can certainly disagree with any of our reviews, what we don't want to see is the following: author x writes a review of the latest episode of Torchwood. They don't like it very much. After a few comments about the review, someone comes along and posts something like this: "No it was brilliant. This blog is anti-RTD/you're all bitter wannabes/why do you bother watching it if you hate it so much/I'm never coming here again until tomorrow when I'll come here again even though I'm not interested in it/call yourself fans? (delete as applicable)". Then someone with good intentions posts something like "We're individual reviewers/there is no party line/why can't we just say if an episode isn't very good/actually I really liked quite a lot of RTD's episodes, etc (delete as applicable)".

We're not interested in those kind of conversations anymore (either pro or anti) and so anything like that will just be deleted. We want to review and discuss the programmes not have tedious navel-gazing debates about the existence of Behind the Sofa. If anyone has a desperate urge to go over those debates again, then they'll always be in the archive.

If you do have an issue with the running of this blog then DO NOT post it as a comment but instead please email us at: webmaster@behindthesofa.org.uk
