A Reactionary On A Bad LSD Trip

Free with today's Sunday Telegraph, your very own shrink wrapped Personal Pixley.

It appears they have been doing a little digging in the ancient and dusty BBC archives and have uncovered some early documentation on the genesis of Doctor Who. These documents describe the idea of a time machine as being too old fashioned, that the transport used in the series should be an invisible flying saucer and that the lead character should be portrayed as someone who is suffering the hell and dank horror of an LSD low.

Further pages from the 1963 archive, an appendix describing the possibility of an adult spin-off from the format, have been removed and are thought to be in the hands of a private collector - along with his pornographic etchings and portrait of a scantily clad William Hartnell.
